App of the Day: Google Drive (Cloud storage)

Google Drive

Description: Recently google launched its dropbox like service called Google Drive. Google drive gives you 5GB worth of free cloud space to store your documents, pictures, music and more for on-the-go access. The new google drive app lets you access your cloud drive right from your phone. Google Docs is pre integrated, so you can view all your spreadsheets, ppts, pdfs and docs. This is a great way to share files with your contacts(hooray for no more email attachments). There are options to create and upload new documents and spreadsheets and also download files for offline viewing. The app supports OCR(optical character recognition) so you can snap of picture of any printed text and convert it to a document (works well for bills and memos). Another reason for using this over similar services like Dropbox is the extra 3GB of storage.
