Mobile gaming has been around for the past couple of decades. The Game-Boys and PSPs of the past have kept gamers busy. The smartphones of the past never really bothered to address games with any major concern but the growing population of casual gamers coupled with the increasing graphics capabilities of modern smartphone, the gaming industry is slowly but surely taking mobile gaming on phones seriously.
Credit has to be given to the iPhone/iPad for getting game developers and publishers interested and making them see that there is vast potential here. With Androids increasing market share in both smartphones and tablets we are sure to get a bigger piece of the pie in the future.
Here's a roundup of this year's E3 announcements which is sure to get all you Android game junkies excited.

Electronic Arts
EA announced two major titles: FIFA 13 and Need for Speed Most Wanted coming to your Android phone this year. I know all you FIFA heads have been disappointed with EA's past efforts but this mobile iteration promises a lot including new gameplay mechanics, a bigger roster and ramped up visuals. The feature we are most excited about is the integration with FIFA Sports Club service. This means all the live feature that you get on the console/pc version of the game. The service will most likely able you to link your existing FIFA account to your android install. This means being able to access your saved teams and tournaments and play them on the go.
On the racing front EA announced Need for Speed Most Wanted. Most Wanted is by far the most loved of all the NFS iteration and it will be interesting to see what EA can deliver. Hopefully they can dish out something awesome.
